Welcome
Women!
The women of the Presbytery of Southwest
Florida are eagerly anticipating the arrival of our PCA sisters. You will find that Tampa
is a beautiful city, with many attractions for you to enjoy. The Tampa Convention Center
is open and spacious, perfectly suited for community
meeting and greeting friends
both old and new.
The theme of General Assembly 2000 is Consecrating the Church
Confronting the Culture. At the WIC luncheon and in the seminars, we will be
encouraged and challenged
by this theme. We hope you will enjoy our warm hospitality in this Florida city. And, we
are praying that when you return home, you will be refreshed in body, renewed in spirit,
and ready to confront our culture with truth and compassion.
Please note: The brand new Marriott Hotel, located just across from the
Tampa Convention Center, will be the anchor hotel for the Womens and Nursery
Activities. The Luncheon and Seminars, the Hospitality Room, and the Toddler/Nursery Rooms
are located in the Marriott.
WIC Hospitality and Prayer Room
Beginning Monday afternoon, the WIC
Hospitality Room will be open. This room is located in the Marriott hotel on the
Banquet Level. Beverages will be available, and there will be hostesses to greet you. They
will be available to answer questions, carry on a pleasant conversation and even pray with
you.
This room will be the location for our early morning prayer time on
Wednesday (8:00AM) and Thursday (8:00AM) mornings. Afternoon activities will also be
centered here, with an opportunity to gather for fellowship, or to participate in the
craft times (see schedule under Tours).
