GETTING TO
You will be greeted at Tampa International Airport by one of our volunteers. If you are renting a car, they will direct you to the proper desk and provide directions to your hotel. If you are in need of transportation to the hotels, there will either be shuttle service available or an Airport Limo depending on your destination. Wyndham and Hyatt shuttles are complimentary. The Airport Limo services the Marriott and is $14.00 per person. Pick up arrangements and payment can be made at that time. Please see "SHUTTLE SERVICE/LOCAL TRANSPORTATION". Special discounted airfares have been negotiated with
our official airline [Applicable for travel to Tampa, Florida, from June 17 thru June 26] Tickets must be issued at least 7 days prior to departure.
Purchasing your ticket 60 days or more prior to your departure date, you will receive a 10% bonus discount. You automatically receive a 5% discount by calling the number above and giving the special file number above. If you cannot stay over a Saturday night, ask about the special unpublished Zone Fares for the General Assembly. NEED TO RENT A CAR?
IF YOU ARE DRIVING Tampa sits at the intersection of three major interstates: I-75, I-275 and I-4. From I-75 South, take I-275 south to Exit 25, Ashley Street Downtown West. Follow the signs to the Convention Center and Hotels. From I-4 West, directions are the same. From I-75 North, take I-275 North to exit 25, Ashley Street Downtown West and follow signs to the Convention Center and Hotels.
IF YOU ARE COMING BY TRAIN The closest train station is Amtrak, only four blocks from the Convention Center. Upon you arrival, taxicab service is available from Yellow Cab (253-0121) and United Cab (253-2424) for $4-6. You may call upon arrival, no need to call ahead for a reservation.
IF YOU ARE COMING BY BUS The Greyhound Bus Station is also very near the Convention Center and hotels. You may use the same cab companies for approximately the same fare as train arrivals. SHUTTLE SERVICE MARRIOTT WATERSIDE Please bear in mind that this hotel is still under construction at the time of printing and any information may be subject to slight changes: Shuttle: The hotel does not provide complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport. However, Airport Limo is available for $14.00 per person. You may arrange pick up ahead of time by calling 727-572-1111. You may also make arrangements when you arrive at the airport by going to the Airport Limo booth in any baggage area. The wait is approximately 30 minutes or less. Parking: Valet parking is available for $12.00 per 24 hour basis (includes in and out privileges). There is no parking garage for self-parking, but city parking is available close by.
WYNDHAM HARBOUR ISLAND HOTEL Shuttle: Complimentary shuttle runs on the hour to and from the airport. General Assembly Greeters at the airport can direct you to the shuttle. The Wyndham also provides shuttle service from Hyde Park to Ybor City. Reservations can be made by dialing ext. 2312 at the hotel. Parking: Parking is available for $6.00 per night
HYATT REGENCY Shuttle: Complimentary shuttle is available on the hour. Please use the telephone in the baggage area to contact the hotel and the shuttle will come for a pick up. Parking: Valet parking is available for $7.00 per 24 hour basis ( includes in and out privileges) and $6.00 per night self park at the Ft.Brooke Parking Garage connected to the hotel. HARTline Also available in downtown Tampa is the HARTline (Hillsborough Area Regional Transit). HARTline runs a FREE downtown shuttle called the Uptown Downtown Connector. This runs Monday through Friday, am to pm, every 10 minutes. The "Connector" is a yellow trolley/bus. TAXI CABS As in any other city, cab service is available. Please note that Tampa is a "call" city, not a "hail" city. Yellow cab can be reached at 813-253-0121.
